With quality, integrity and provenance of meat valued so highly today, we are proud to be working with 2013 Taste of Kent finalists, S.W. Doughty of Doddington. S.W. Doughty is a traditional butcher and slaughterhouse based in the Kent village of Doddington, specialising in providing top quality meat from known suppliers.
S.W. Doughty have been supplying the highest quality meat to households and businesses since 1880. Doughty’s pride themselves on knowing the provenance of all their meat.
Their beef and lamb is reared on Hole Street Farm in Kingsdown, about a mile from
Doughty’s. The beef is Sussex breed and the Lamb is Southdown cross. Both the beef and lamb are slaughtered, butchered and hung onsite at the butchers in Doddington using traditional, non-mechanised techniques which is extremely rare today. The chickens are Kent Rangers, reared in Monkshill on the only Kentish free-range chicken farm, and the pork is from free-range, orchard-fed pigs from Kent and Sussex.
